Attic Daddy as a band, my band, wasn't stuck in a groove, but chose to live in that groove of chunky rootsy rockabilly blues based musics presented for entertainment. Broaden my horizons? I don't think so. This furrow is already so wide I can't even see the edges from where I'm standing. This is a street where the Carter Family and the New York Dolls live in the same neighbourhood. Comfortable? Not really. Interesting? Has to be. With the distillations of these musics, using my own mythical South (the one that starts at our border) I'm taking my fifteen or twenty minutes in this instance, to be a minstrel or bluesman in the 21st Century. Dig it!
