Culture Reject's debut record is a sonic self-portrait of the multi-instrumentalist and musically diversified Michael O'Connell. The debut record, set to release in Europe with his Euro Tour this April, has received critical acclaim across the country, charting prominently on CBC 3, campus radio and XM Satellite. After two US tours in 2008, the live show features O'Connell creating live vocal and guitar loops with a "subtle athleticism", a thumping horn section, driving rhythm section and a back-up vocalist on piano.
