Jakub Zapotoczny has been playing music professionally for over ten years. A vital member of a number of Niagara-based bands, Jakub has crafted a collection of new songs that are in many ways a departure from the ambient, electronic vibe of his band Ragni. Drawing inspiration from new experiences and perspectives, these songs are warm and introspective, with melody and cord structure taking prominence.

Born in Poland, Jakub earned his multi instrumental chops in St. Catharines, attending the arts-friendly St. Catharines Collegiate and later Mohawk College. Currently, Jakub is living in Montreal and working with Juno award-winning producer Joseph Donovan(Sam Roberts, The Dears) on Ragni’s new album
