The Honkies, named after a scene from the Last Waltz, are a Niagara supergroup, similar to their uncles in The Traveling Wilburys…consisting of Merle, Jebediah, Opie, T-Boone and Bo Honkie. Each member grew up in Niagara and shares a special connection to the region; Merle, the diva of the Honkies family, has a heart as sweet and cold as a Niagara ice-wine.  Jebediah is as perplexing and deep as the Fourth Ave and 406 traffic intersection.  Opie is as fierce as the churning waters of the great gorge that divides us from our southern neighbours.   T- Boone, the gentle Honkie, is as warm as an autumn breeze passing through the treetops along Hwy 8 and Bo has hands as tender as a Niagara peach.  Together, The Honkies combine for a sound that can be best compared to the way Forty Creek smells.
