Indie folk/rock duo BarnHouse Static owes their sound to the synergy that happens when musical worlds collide. FIVE yrs ago Kathy Evans was a local solo performer in our local watering holes while former punk-cowboy Peter Duffin was touring the country drumming with Juno nominees Grievous Angels and Andrew Cash band. They started playing together in 2004. Since then they have been frequent performers in Niagara, Hamilton and Toronto and have performed in various festivals including our local SCENE and Cicadafest. Last year they hosted Niagara’s first indie listening series “My Blue Guitar” promoting the talents of local singer/songwriters.
BarnHouse Statics first release “Through Dusty Windows” can be heard on college and independent radio stations across the country. They are currently working on their second CD “Intervention Songs” and producing other artists at their St. Catharine’s studio.
