Slide guitar gospel-blues with grit and groove to make you shout it out

Bio: Sam Turton was born and raised in St. Catharines. For over 40 years, he has been playing slide guitar and hammering out personal and political songs with blues edge and gospel fervour. Sam's recordings and performances have targeted the Bush empire, Wal-Mart, nuclear power and the war in Afghanistan. Sam's songs can be heard on his solo CD feel, and on the compilation CDs Not There, Afghanistan-On Guard For Thee? and Guelph Speaks, Vol II. Based in Guelph, Ontario, Sam is also a graphic artist, mentor/therapist, and community activist whose passion is connecting people in song.

Jane Lewis is a strong believer in the power of music and singing to bring people together. She is the founder of the All Together Now workshop series (formerly known as Rise Up Singing), and a backup vocalist who has gradually ventured into singing lead. When she isn't making music, she works at various other creative endeavours, including freelance editing and writing. She is the author of six young adult novels, which can be found in schools and libraries across Canada.
