Aboriginal indie artist tells it like it is with stories of the reserve

Bio: Shawnee is an aboriginal Indie artists born and raised in Welland Ontario. Growing up in a small town gave Shawnee the opportunity to get going in the music business by performing at local festivals, fundraisers and anything else she could get her hands on.
Things are looking bright with venues like Toronto's Biggest Pride event, the Rogers stadium and television shows like Canadian Idol. Shawnee has been names one of Toronto's brightest emerging artists by Inspired Productions.
