F**KED UP - TORONTO'S CONCEPTUAL PUNK PIONEERS TO SHARE THE STAGE WITH LOCAL YOUTH TALENT AT ST. CATHARINES' IN THE SOIL FESTIVAL

VISIT THE EVENT SCHEDULE

St. Catharines - Polaris Music Prize winning punk rock band F**ked Up will headline a show with three emerging local bands on Friday 29 April at Robertson Hall (85 Church St.) @ 7pm in downtown St. Catharines.

From their start in 2001, this acclaimed Toronto band has been pushing musical and conceptual boundaries. F**ked Up has produced an impressive catalogue of music in their 10 year history, gained legions of Niagara followers and have proven themselves a startlingly talented punk rock band along the way.

The band's highly-anticipated punk-rock-musical, David Comes To Life is set for release on June 7. F**ked Up's third album is set to exceed all expectations. Though no less monumental, it is far more melodic than their critically acclaimed breakthrough, The Chemistry of Common Life.

Three local emerging bands have been selected to share the stage with acclaimed band - Tyganda, Check Lester, and Autumn Crush.  And these young bands, (two still in high school), are thrilled by the opportunity.  Dylan Murray of Autumn Crush says, "We are extremely excited to be able to share the stage with such a successful Canadian band. We look forward to a night of absolutely killer music!"

This year, In the Soil is proud to bring in a musical act that both inspires and ignites the local music community.

Tickets for the Robertson Hall event are $10 and can be purchased in advance at Strega Café and Out of the Past in downtown St. Catharines (cash only). Tickets are available at the door (subject to capacity). Doors open at 6:30pm.

This year, In the Soil, Niagara's perennial multi-disciplinary arts festival, will take root in downtown St. Catharines from April 27 to May 1 with 15 events, 75 acts and over 250 artists.
