Mark Lalama was born in Welland and now runs a studio out of Fenwick Ontario. He is an accomplished performer, producer, composer and musical director who has worked with artists such as Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora, Tom Jones, Anne Murray, Martina McBride, Michael MacDonald, Olivia Newtown John, Paul Anka, Roger Hodgson, Dennis DeYoung, Guido Basso, Amy Sky, Marc Jordon, Susan Aglukark, George Fox, Frank Mills, Dan Hill and more.

As pianist and arranger for the CTV hit show Canadian Idol, he worked closely with all of the contestants as well as with artists: Tony Bennett, Nelly Frutado, Bryan Adams, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, The Barenaked Ladies, Hedley, Simple Plan and Enrique Iglasias.
