Work, work Duncan MacDonald
'Work, work' is a thirteen-minute stop-motion video by St. Catharines-artist Duncan MacDonald. The video depicts Duncan crawling from his home to Rodman Hall, a feat that took nearly six and a half hours. The camera operator, Tracy Van Oosten, shot the trek frame by frame with a DSLR camera - and in turn, helped determined the duration of the performance experiment. The video questions how it might be possible to an artist, a father and a teacher (ie. going to work one day). The piece was made around the same time his son, Sebastian, was learning to crawl.
