The Sweet Peas - were formed in Toronto 2 years ago when Caitlin Burgess met Violet Chepil. Violet Chepil was raised and gained her musical ability whily growing up in in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. When the duo got together in Toronto they began writing songs with a country, folk, pop sound and gained performance experience at many local bars in the city. Last summer was their first summer of touring to many folk festival across Canada and The United States, including Indiegirrl in Knoxville Tennessee. The Sweet Peas are inspired by some of the musical greats including Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris, The Rolling Stones and The Wreckers. There is a little folk in all of us.
