About:

Kakekalanicks’s mission is to promote Indigeonos art and artists to broader based audiences, and acts to educate audiences about the deep rooted beauty of our culture, heritage and traditions through the medium of the Arts. “The Art of Indigenous Dance” Pow Wow! was designed specifically for “In the Soil Art Festival” by engaging top Indigenous dancers, signers, drummers and knowledge keepers to facilitate this unique workshop.

Kakekalanicks (Forever Always) is an indigenous consulting and professional service company that is owned and operated by Metis Nation’s Michèle-Elise Burnett in partnership with Seneca Nation’s Gary Parker. Established in the early 1980’s and re-launched in 2016, the philosophical underpinnings of Kakekalanicks are rooted in the same traditional beliefs and ideology that inspired the company’s late founder, Suzanne Rochon Burnett. By promoting Indigenous art and artists to broader based audiences, Kakekalanicks acts to educate audiences about the deep rooted beauty of our culture, heritage and traditions through the medium of the Arts.
