A six-piece band from Toronto that’s been playing for six years and is best described as Trash Lounge Folk Prog Rock.

Century Thief are no strangers to ITS. Whether playing, volunteering or stage-managing, the band has made it down for the festival for the past four years. Recently, they’ve been taking time off from playing live (over 6 months) to work on a new record and are excited about having been able to experiment with recording techniques, arrangements and composing new songs. While they won’t be releasing the album at the festival this year, they’ll debuting much of the new material during their set.

After supporting each of their three songwriters on their own solo albums, Century Thief formed as a collective and released their debut album “Reverie” in the fall of 2015. While writing and recording, the band toured Ontario and the East Coast, playing NXNE, Canadian Music Week, Indie Week, In the Soil, TWiMfest and more. With the help of FACTOR, Century Thief rented a barn in Maberly, Ont., to record their follow-up album in the spring of 2016. Since then they’ve released the first single, “You Are Here,” and plan on releasing a three-song EP later this year.
