An interactive theatre experience in which the audience is blindfolded and guided through an encounter of live soundscape.

Twitches & Itches Theatre is a St. Catharines-based, multi-disciplinary emerging artist ensemble devoted to the creation of relevant new works through collaboration. Our nine core members share a long-term commitment to rigorous physical training and creation in Niagara. Since 2013, we have maintained a steady output of productions, workshops and community arts projects.

The ensemble is nominated for a 2017 St. Catharines Art Award in the category of Emerging Artist.

“We need theatre and the arts now more than ever, and Twitches and Itches offers a production that not only brings to light social and political injustices, but questions and analyzes how they came to be.” – DART Critics Review of The Bacchae

“The group’s physical specificity from the tips of their fingers to their toes is meticulous. Roller coasters, coffee cups, even a fig tree — the creative limit of their bodies seems to know no bounds.” – DART Critics Review of Time, Again

“Their versions of these four stories were all incredibly faithful to the texts, while still very different from them. It was amazing how much room they found to vary pace, tone, focus, with almost no real rewriting… It really surprised me, in the best possible way.” – Rebecca Rosenblum’s Review of Once
