SNAPSHOT:

An indie synth pop / psychedelic folk band from Toronto.

ABOUT:

In June 2017, Dante Matas released a solo EP Midnight Sun. The EP got positive reviews and write ups from various music blogs. Shortly after its release, Dante expanded the project into a four piece band in order to play newer material. With the new lineup, the band has played many shows in Toronto including Youth Day at Dundas Square. The followup 8-track album, A Colourful Headache, is scheduled to be released on May 4th and will be supported by an east coast Canada tour in May and June.

“Sometimes it’s difficult to stay away from cliché and simple lyrics without sounding cheesy and pretentious, but Dante Matas makes it sound effortless.” Trent B Minia, 24OURMUSIC

“Midnight Sun is as gorgeously vibrant as it is passionately reflective, finding Dante Matas emerging as an exceptional singer/songwriter with an immersive point-of-view and a genuine voice.” Mitch Mosk, Atwood Magazine

ARTISTS:

Dante Matas – Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Synth
