Tanya Davis has been performing music and poetry for 15 years. She’s played for audiences across Canada as well as in México, Denmark, Germany, the UK, and the USA. She’s been nominated for an East Coast Music Award and is the past Poet Laureate of Halifax, NS, where she was also named Best Local Poet. She’s performed original poetry live at the Canada Games Opening Ceremonies, on stage with David Suzuki, and for national radio and NFB documentary film. She collaborates frequently with other musicians, theatre makers and inter-disciplinary artists.


Tanya Davis is a poet, musician, and performer based in Montréal, QC. She has 4 albums and 2 books, including a hardcover by HarperCollins of the widely popular videopoem How to be Alone (with Andrea Dorfman). She starred in and co-scored her first film (Heartbeat) in 2014.
