An amalgam of songs and sounds from forgotten ghost towns somewhere in the 20th Century.
Reviving the ancient sounds of brass and piano, The Silver Hearts formed in 2000 rising to fame as Peterborough’s original “beer hall orchestra.” Playing festivals coast to coast in Canada, and as far as Japan, the music of the Hearts is at once mournful and jubilant, dark yet uplifting. Named CBC Bandwidth’s Band and Album of the year in 2002, the Silver Hearts have shared the stage with the likes of Ron Sexsmith, The Sadies, Serena Ryder, Justin Rutledge – and even Dan Aykroyd! Their live show is unforgettable and their sound truly timeless … Have you ever seen a musician play piano and trumpet simultaneously?
Charlie Glasspool – trumpet, piano & vocals
Wyatt Burton – electric guitar
Jay Swinnerton – organ & vocals
Jay Peters – percussion
Trevor “Tiny” Davis – acoustic guitar & vocals
Greg Marshak – bass guitar
